2009 Jaguar XF Recalls

Passenger Frontal Air Bag Inflator Ruptures On Deployment

The passenger frontal air bag inflator may rupture on deployment, causing metal fragments to come through the air bag and injure occupants. Dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag assemblies free of charge to resolve the concern.

Driver's Frontal Air Bag Does Not Inflate Properly

A chemical enhancer required for second stage deployment of driver's side frontal air bags may be missing. This would result in the driver's frontal air bag not deploying properly in certain crashes. Dealers will replace the driver frontal air bag module free of charge to resolve the concern.

Instrument Panel Speaker May Fail

The speaker that provides audible warning notifications to the driver may fail. These notifications include warnings for not wearing seat belts, leaving your lights on, and leaving your door open with the key in the ignition. Forgetting to wear your safety belt can increase the risk of injury or death in the event of a crash. Dealers will verify the proper operation of the speaker and reconfigure the instrument cluster control module software. The Jaguar recall number is J011. This recall began on December 5, 2008.
