The rear power door may not open or close properly, or make a grinding noise from inside the rear trim panel. If this occurs our technicians recommend to check for loose or damaged hardware at the rear door motor. Replace damaged hardware as required and use bolt retaining compound when reassembling the door motor hardware.
The fuel gauge may be slow to register, fail to read full when the gas tank is actually full, or read inaccurately. Our technicians tell us there is a redesigned fuel tank sender unit to remedy this problem.
A clunking or popping noise may develop when driving over pot holes or rough roads, the front coil springs may be the source of the noise. Our technicians tell us updated parts are available to address this problem.

2009 Infiniti QX56 RecallsNissan-Infiniti Recall for Faulty Front and/or Rear Control Arms
Nissan is recalling certain 2004 - 2010 Titan, Armada, & QX56 vehicles. Also included are 2005 - 2010 Frontier, Xterra, and Pathfinder vehicles for faulty front and/or rear suspension lower control arms. The problem is the control arm's attaching point to the vehicle's chassis. During the manufacturing process, some control arms may contain welds that do not meet Nissan's strength specs, and if they break, it may result in loss of vehicle control, and a possible crash.
The instrument panel fuel gauge may show fuel in the fuel tank when there is none, typically about 1/4 when the tank is empty. This could cause the vehicle to run out of gas and stall, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will replace the fuel sender unit inside the fuel tank to correct this concern. This recall is expected to begin on March 22, 2010.
The pin that secures the brake pedal to the mounting bracket may become dislodged. This would cause the pedal to become loose, and could compromise braking action. Dealers will inspect the pivot pin area and replace the brake pedal assembly if necessary. This recall began on March 22, 2010.
