2004 Infiniti FX35 ProblemsFront wheel bearing causes grinding noise
Owners have reported a number of prematurely worn front wheel bearings. As the bearing fails, a rotational humming or grinding noise may be noted from the front as vehicle speed increases. Replacement of the bearing would be necessary to remedy this condition.
Popped open hood to find coolant sprayed all over the top of the engine. Hoses appeared intact. Coolant reservoir was empty. Radiator cap looked fine.
Diagnosed problem by bringing the engine to operating temperature and watching the coolant spray out of the radiator.
Issue was the radiator was cracked along the top (where it is plastic). Replaced the radiator.

Car has 128k miles. In pretty good shape and I'm pretty sure the dealer is going to charge an arm and a leg for this to be done.
2004 Infiniti FX35 RecallsFront Airbag Inflator Module
This limited regional recall is for vehicles currently registered or first sold in southern Florida, along the Gulf Coast, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, Saipan and American Samoa. Upon deployment the passenger airbag inflator could rupture, increasing the risk of personal injury. Dealers will replace the passenger side air bag inflator to correct this concern.
This limited regional recall is for vehicles currently registered or first sold in Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the U.S. Virgin Islands, and equipped with Takata-brand air bag inflators. Upon deployment the driver and/or passenger airbag inflator could rupture, increasing the risk of personal injury. Honda dealers will replace the affected airbag inflator modules to correct this concern.
It was found in compliance testing that some rear combination lamp assemblies did not meet illumination standards. This is against the Federal Motor Vehicles Safety Standard. Dealers will replace the rear combination lamp assemblies. The recall began December 18, 2006. The Infiniti recall number is R0607.
