I have a 2006 Hyundai Accent. Went to take in for 60,000 mile scheduled maintenance. Was told that they couldn't get the hood open and that it could possibly cost an additional $200 or more depending on what is broken. Already going to be paying $675 for the service. I would like to know ...

Do I have to replaced the whole front hub or can I replace just the bearings. I have been told both ways.

The stop lamp switch may fail, affecting many vehicle systems including the brake lights, transmission shift interlock, electronic stability control, and the cruise control. Failure of any of these systems could increase risk of a crash. Dealers will replace the stop lamp switch to correct these issues. This recall is to begin on June 29, 2009. The Hyundai recall number is 092.

This is a great little car that I just love to drive. Gas mileage is about 30 city and 35 highway. I bought it in March of 2006 and not one bit of trouble yet. Drives smooth on the highway too.
