2000 Honda Accord Recalls

Honda has recalled 1997-2001 Prelude, 1999-2002 Accord, and 1999-2000 Acura TL models because the ignition switch interlock may fail. If this happens, the key will be removable before the engine is in the "Park" position, which could cause the vehicle to roll and crash. Dealers will confirm interlock function and vehicles will receive an updated interlock lever free of charge.

Honda is recalling certain passenger vehicles because the dimmer control for the instrument panel lights could fail due to heat buildup. If this happens at night, the driver may not be able to see the instrument panel gauges, including the speedometer. Dealers will replace a multiplex control unit for the instrument panel lights.

Honda has recalled 2000 Accord and Acura TL models because the air bag inflator may malfunction. An improper weld in a component of the inflator may prevent the air bag from deploying as designed, which can increase the risk of injury. Dealers will replace the passenger air bag module.

by the way--i forgot to mention about the--honda-nissan-toyota-subaru thing,..they come in for..oil & filter change...rotate tires... and a..umm..america has really dropped the ball with the auto industry..if Japan can build cars like that,.we sure as hell oughta be able to build them better-were America for God's sake-- anyhow--well i have to re-write quite a bit,.(my story disappeared) #1...

BEST CAR EVER!

My third Honda. Each has gotten over 200,000 miles with very little repair / heavy maintence. The newer the model the better the car. I haven't replaced my muffler as an example.
