The dash lights went completely out but not the radio lights. Why? Weird smell? (1 answer)

Smelt like it overheated or something burned out. Then i noticed the PRND12 went dim. Then all the dash lights went completely out. Had a weird feel to the rest of the way home. I knw oil may be a bit low and i need a oil change too.

Passenger Frontal Air Bag Inflator Ruptures On Deployment

The passenger frontal air bag inflator may rupture on deployment, causing metal fragments to come through the air bag and injure occupants. Dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator free of charge to resolve the concern.

Possible Under Hood Electrical Fire

The heated washer module under the hood could overheat due to excessive current draw. Under certain conditions, this could result in an under hood fire. This previous recall attempt in 2008 to repair this concern did not have the expected success. Dealers will now permanently disable and remove the heated washer module to correct this concern. This recall is expected to begin on June 20, 2010.

This is the truck of champions. After owning this I never want to get another vehicle. Gas mileage could be better but other than that its an excellent truck.
