Check Engine Light Due to Restricted Secondary Air Injection Check Valves

One or both secondary air injection check valves may become restricted causing poor air flow resulting in illumination of the Check Engine Light. It is often recommend to replace both check valves even if a fault code is set for only one bank of cylinders. Replacing only one valve may result in a return trip to the repair shop.

2005 GMC Savana 1500 Reviews

Bought this van new. very few complaints. used the cigarette lighter and had a major short in the wiring harness. only 77k miles. gm does not stock replacement harnesses. I found a repair shop online that fixes these harnesses and when I asked about repair they said "cigarette lighter? we've been seeing a lot of those". gm denies knowledge of this problem. anyone else have this trouble? ...
I drove a GMC Savana 1500 cargo van for almost 3 years around the San Francisco Bay Area as well cities like Santa Rosa, Modesto and Davis. As a cargo vehicle the performance was amazing, capable to carry a lot of weight and runs smoothly with excellent brakes response. In the outside is a tough car.
