2009 GMC Envoy Repair and Maintenance

A guide to problems, costs, maintenance and repair for your 2009 GMC Envoy

2009 GMC Envoy Problems

Illumination of the Check Engine Light can be caused by a loose or worn gas cap.

Electrical power may be lost to the interior of the vehicle due to a blown 125 amp fuse located at the under hood fuse box. This fuse can blow if jumper cables are connected incorrectly. Replacing the blown fuse will commonly correct this problem.

2009 GMC Envoy Questions

I have taken the vehicle to 2 repair shops. When they look at the code it calls out "small leak" code. Replaced gas cap and this solved it for a few days. Reset light again and it returned in a few days. Also got "tighten fuel cap" message on dash.
Any suggestions?

I recently replaced the clutch fan on my 2009 GMC Envoy but the vehicle is still making the same noise as before I changed out the clutch fan - does anyone have any ideas on what else the problem could be.
