Possible Corrosion of Fuel Tank Straps

Vehicles sold or currently registered in states using corrosive chemicals to de-ice the roads may have fuel tank straps that can rust prematurely and fail. If the fuel tank were to shift as a result of a broken strap, the fuel lines could separate or the fuel tank could contact the ground. In either case, a fuel leak could develop, increasing the risk of a fire. Dealers will replace the fuel tank straps with straps that have increased corrosion protection. Early in the campaign, if replacement straps are not available, dealers may install a cable support under the strap as an interim repair or a steel reinforcement over the existing strap as a permanent repair. This recall is expected to begin September 12, 2011. The Ford recall number is 11S21.

Recall 05V388000
ON CERTAIN PICKUP TRUCKS AND SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH SPEED CONTROL, THE SPEED CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCH MAY OVERHEAT, SMOKE, OR BURN.
Vehicle With Installed Southern Comfort Running Boards Recalled Due to Board Lamp Failure

The courtesy lamps on affected running boards may overheat when exposed to moisture and road salt. Overheating may cause the lamps and boards to melt or start a fire. Dealers will replace the wiring harness for these running boards.

I have the F150 with towing package. Still pulling my goosenecks and other trailers. My friends marvel at it's towing capacity (limited to 16' max loaded)and ride. Turn off the OD and the mileage suffers... but I'll be working this truck for another 10 years.
I LOVE MY 2002 HARLEY-DAVIDSON CREW SUPERCHARGED F-150 TRUCK. IT RUNS AND DRIVES VERY WELL. ITS VERY VERY FAST. MY SECOND BRAKE DO NOT WORK ANYMORE, SO I AM USING THE FIRST SET OF BRAKES. IT STOPS OK. IT HAS 160,000 MILES ON NOW. I BOUGHT IT LAST YEAR FOR UNDER 10,000. MINE HAS ALL BLACK INTERIOR WITH BLACK PAINT. MY HEATED SEATS SEAMS LIKE THEY ARE TOO HOT OR MAYBE THATS NORMAL SETTINGS FOR IT...
