Wheel Chair Platform Mounting Fails - Wheel Chair Modified Vans

The folding link arms of the wheel chair lifts may have pivot holes that are too big, which could cause failure of the mounts of the wheel chair lift platform. The lift platform may fall out of the vehicle when the doors are opened. Dealers will inspect the link arms for damage or displaced bearings and inspect the platform for cracks. All parts that are suspect will be replaced free of charge to resolve the concern.

Handicap Conversion Vehicles: Wheel Chair Lifts Platform Cracks

On vehicles modified to accept a wheelchair lift, the platform for the wheelchair can crack and separate the lift. Dealers will replace any cracking platform and supply supplemental platform supports free of charge to correct the problem.

Wheelchair Lift May Short Circuit

Mobility Works converted vans equipped with wheelchair lifts and an optional armored cable may short circuit due to a clearance issue with the cable. The manufacturer will supply a supplemental cover kit to owners free of charge to resolve the concern.
