Click or Pop Heard From Rear of Vehicle When Clutch Released

A single click or pop may be heard from the rear of the vehicle when the clutch is released. Our technicians tell us the repair involves installing matched hubs and yokes to the rear axle.

Damaged rear transmission wires may cause speedometer/odometer problems
The speedometer or odometer may not work intermittently due to damaged wires at the rear of the transmission.
Noise from transmission when clutch is engaged and transmission in neutral
A light chatter or rattle or noise from the transmission may be noted with the clutch engaged and the transmission in neutral. Updating the transmission lubricant, SAE 75W will help but not eliminate it.
