Today, 2/9/2015, my engine and ignition just shut down - completely stop while I was driving. This is dangerous and very scary. It is a computer and other problem which is Chrysler's fault and no fault of mine -- even though Chrysler does not make these PT Cruisers any more, it should be a recall. Chrysler owes me to fix this car for free or give me another one that is almost free since I should not be needing a car.
There was a recall to inspect and reposition the high pressure power steering hose. The hose could contact the transaxle differential cover and wear prematurely. Damaged hoses must be replaced.

The power steering pressure hose may contact the automatic transaxle, potentially damaging the hose. An underhood fire could result from the leaking fluid. Dealers will inspect the power steering pressure hose and retain or replace it as necessary.
The fuel pump module mounting flange could leak fuel in the event of a rollover crash. In the presence of an ignition source, a fuel leak may result in a fire. Dealers will install a secondary seal over the fuel pump module to correct this issue.
Chrysler is recalling certain 2002 PT Cruiser and Jeep Grand Cherokee models because the instrument cluster could become inoperative. The majority of cluster functions will stop working if this occurs. Dealers will upgrade the cluster software to correct this concern.
