The speedometer or other instrument panel gauge may begin to work erratically at times. Our technicians tell us that the instrument cluster must be sent to a repair facility to correct this fault. The warranty has been extended on some of these units to 7 years or 70,000 miles.
It is common for the fuel level sensor in the fuel tank read the fuel level incorrectly. The sensor must be replaced to correct the condition. Our technicians recommend having the complete fuel pump module replaced on high mileage vehicles.
The muffler heat shield may become loose on the muffler causing a rattle or popping noise. Our technicians tell us there is a kit available from GM to correct this problem.

Recently changed my alternator now I have a code. Don't remember the ex act code, but the description is " generator terminal F circuit " any ideas on what this is and how I can fix it?
Right now my truck shows less than half a tank filled. I went to 2 different chevron stations and the pumps at both stations clicked off prematurely at 1-2 gallons filled. When I got my trucks oil done they put a fuel cleaner in. could that have caused this to happen or are chevrons pumps the issue?

Love my truck! 01 Crew Cab 4x4 Lt with 6.0L gas. Have wished since the day I got it for either the 8.1 or the Duramax. 6.0 is fine for most driving and even light towing, but is gutless if you tow 8,000lbs or more.
