A coolant leak may develop from the water pump. The engine may overheat as a result of the coolant loss. A leaking water pump should be replaced.

This mech. works fine until the car is exposed to the Phoenix heat. When left out in 100 an up weather the hatch will not open. When parked in garage or it cools down the Hatch works normally.
