Parking Brake Does Not Release Fully

The parking brake actuation arm may stay partially engaged when the parking brake is deactivated. This can cause the brake pads to stay partially applied and overheat, resulting in a fire hazard. Dealers will update the electronic parking brake software free of charge to resolve the concern.

Air Bag System Not Activated From The Factory

The module that controls the functionality and operation of the air bags may have been set to "manufacturing mode" when leaving the factory. This would prevent normal air bag deployment from occurring in a crash. Dealers will reprogram the sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) free of charge to resolve this concern.

Potential Fire at Brake Booster Pump Relay

Corrosion may develop at the brake booster pump connector at the pump relay due to a missing cavity plug. This corrosion can cause excessive heat, resulting in the connector melting and possibly catching on fire. Dealers will apply sealant to the affected connector cavity plugs and re-route the vacuum pump vent hose. If damaged, the front body wiring harness will be replaced as necessary.
