2014 Buick Verano RecallsIgnition Key May Be Removed Without Transmission Lever Shifted To Park
The ignition key may be able to be removed from the ignition switch without having the transmission shift lever securely in the park position. This could allow the vehicle to roll unexpectedly. Dealers will inspect and if necessary replace the key cylinder lock housing free of charge to resolve the concern.
In cold temperatures, the insulation on the engine block heater cord can become damaged, allowing the wires to be exposed. Exposed wires increase the risk of electrical shock and personal injury if the cord is handled while it is plugged in. Dealers will replace the block heater cord with one rated for lower temperatures free of charge to correct this concern.
The transmission shift cable adjuster may separate from the cable, causing the shifter to fail and the shift indicator to become inaccurate. Dealers will inspect and replace any affected transmission shift cable adjusters free of charge to resolve the concern.
