2013 Buick Verano Repair and Maintenance Costs

A guide to repairs, service, and maintenance costs for your 2013 Buick Verano

2013 Buick Verano Problems

Check Engine Light and Trouble Filling Gas Tank

The 2013 Buick Verano may have issues with the EVAP system, a part of your emission control system.

The EVAP canister vent valve or valve solenoid wiring may fail causing illumination of the check engine light, setting code P0446, and problems filling the tank with fuel.

To correct the issue, the EVAP canister vent valve, solenoid, and wiring must be inspected. The most common fix is replacement of the wiring connector or replacement of the vent valve assembly.

2013 Buick Verano Recalls

Ignition Key May Be Removed Without Transmission Lever Shifted To Park

The ignition key may be able to be removed from the ignition switch without having the transmission shift lever securely in the park position. This could allow the vehicle to roll unexpectedly. Dealers will inspect and if necessary replace the key cylinder lock housing free of charge to resolve the concern.

Engine Block Heater

In cold temperatures, the insulation on the engine block heater cord can become damaged, allowing the wires to be exposed. Exposed wires increase the risk of electrical shock and personal injury if the cord is handled while it is plugged in. Dealers will replace the block heater cord with one rated for lower temperatures free of charge to correct this concern.
