2011 Buick Regal Problems

Car Won't Start Due to Ignition Module/Crankshaft Position Sensor Failure

The ignition module or crankshaft position sensor may fail causing the engine to die and not restart. Diagnoses will be necessary to determine if the module or crank sensor is causing the no start condition.

Key Stuck in Ignition Lock Cylinder

The automatic transmission shifter may fail, or a wire may break near the shifter causing the ignition key to become stuck in the ignition lock cylinder.

Serpentine Belt Tensioner Pulley May Wear Out

The serpentine belt tensioner pulley may wear out. Our technicians tell us that in order to get a new pulley from General Motors you must purchase a complete belt tensioner assembly.

2011 Buick Regal Recalls

Power Seat Wiring Chafes On Seat Frame

The wiring harness to the 8-way power adjustable front seats may chafe on the seat frames, resulting in a short circuit and fire hazard. Dealers will inspect and secure the wiring harness and repair any chafed wires free of charge to resolve the concern.

Ignition Key May Be Removed Without Transmission Lever Shifted To Park

The ignition key may be able to be removed from the ignition switch without having the transmission shift lever securely in the park position. This could allow the vehicle to roll unexpectedly. Dealers will inspect and if necessary replace the key cylinder lock housing free of charge to resolve the concern.

Front Seat Height Adjuster

The driver's and/or passenger's seat may suddenly drop to its lowest position because a bolt securing the height adjuster can fall out. This unexpected movement of the driver's seat could cause a distraction, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will replace the height adjuster bolts in both front seats to correct this concern.
