2010 Acura TSX Problems

A loud rattle type noise may be noted from the engine after a cold start. This can be caused by a faulty valve timing control actuator. Replacing the failed actuator will commonly correct this noise issue.

The rear brake pads wore out after 20k miles. There was still plenty of pad left on the front brakes, but it seems they designed the brakes with not enough meat on them for the rear. I've found other complaints of this issue from drivers oh the NHTSA site.

Some vehicles may develop a soft, low brake pedal. Our technicians tell us this condition may be caused by a faulty vehicle stability assist (VSA) modular control unit. If this is the case replacement of the VSA modular control unit would be required.

2010 Acura TSX Questions

I have had the issue happen 3 times. Once at 5000 miles, again at 20,000 and again at 22,000. The car sits for a few days in the cold and then doesn't start. If you hold the key and give it gas it will start up. Its not a battery issue car is only a year old.

All the time when riding in the car, if you hit a bump or a rough spot it's like the car has an after shock and it rocks back and forth. Have also got a lot of road noise. Could this have something to do with the VSA switch???

purchased my first new car in 09/2010 acura tsx it is now 11/11 and had to replace rear brakes already...i am not happy with this at all and i only have 17000 miles. when brought to the dealerships attention they are unable to explain why this happened that maybe i was driving with the emergency brake on..lol really am not that dumb so now i am out $150...
