The Brake Pedal May Become Soft and/or Low

Some vehicles may develop a soft, low brake pedal. Our technicians tell us this condition may be caused by a faulty vehicle stability assist (VSA) modular control unit. If this is the case replacement of the VSA modular control unit would be required.

Loud Rattle Type Noise from Engine After Cold Start

A loud rattle type noise may be noted from the engine after a cold start. This can be caused by a faulty valve timing control actuator. Replacing the failed actuator will commonly correct this noise issue.

Check Engine Light With Code P2422

The Check Engine Light may illuminate with a stored code P2422. Our technicians tell us this can be caused by spider webs in the EVAP system charcoal canister vent hose. Acura has made available a spring to install inside the vet hose to correct this issue.

2007 Acura TSX Recalls

The Engine May Start Unexpectedly

In states that use corrosive materials for deicing the road the driver may track materials into the vehicle that saturate the carpeting. If the carpet becomes saturated it can drip onto the engine's Electronic Control Unit (ECU) resulting in corrosion of the ECU housing. This damage may cause the engine to stall without warning. Dealers will inspect and replace any damaged ECU. All vehicles will have a waterproof cover installed onto the ECU.

Leaking Power Steering Fluid May Catch Fire

A leak may develop from one of the power steering hoses. Fluid could leak onto the hot exhaust pipe, increasing the risk of a fire. Dealers will perform the repairs necessary to correct this concern. This recall is expected to begin on May 28, 2010. The Acura recall number is R35.
