2007 Acura MDX Repair and Maintenance

A guide to problems, costs, maintenance and repair for your 2007 Acura MDX

The automatic transmission tends to fail more often than in similar models.

A shudder or vibration may develop while driving at speeds between 35 and 40 MPH. Our technicians tell us this condition is commonly caused by a failed automatic transmission torque converter. It is recommend to replace the torque converter and install an updated powertrain control module (PCM) to correct this concern.

I have an Acura MDX 2007 model year, with 31,500 miles.

Should I change timing belt now, based on the elapsed time 8 years since purchase new, even though mileage is low?

I maintain my car well. The "check emission system" light has been on/off over past 3 months. Sometimes with a new tank of gas and a long trip, it clears out; sometimes not. Have never changed this part before. Is 150,000 miles a reasonable life expectancy for a catalytic converter?

I had to call the Acura Roadside Assistance (they were very helpful) that was covered u...

I bought the 2007 MDX in March 2007. Overall the car has been excellent and I am extremely pleased with its performance. It definitely outshines the competition. It scrat...
