Horrible customer service. Actually mis-diagnosed my car. My car was there for over a month and I paid five hundred dollars and that was not what was wrong with the car. They had horrible customer service, would have to harass them to get anything done. They weren't knowledgeable about the car. Another mechanic figured the problem out within six hours. They weren't qualified for what they did.
They handled the issue with professionalism, and informed me with updates. Everything was done in a timely manner, no complaints with the vehicle, everything was fixed. They're just courteous, and the amount was correct for the service and everything for the extent of the vehicle and repairs. It was not over priced.
They are very considerate, and reasonably priced. They know what they are doing, they let me be transported to my home while they are working on it. They're very dependable, and they say to call me and I trust them one hundred percent. I give their cards out to everybody and they are happy with them.
They do good honest work and fix the car the first time in the shop. They are personal friends of mine, nice waiting area, good quality parts, honest and good working mechanics, very thorough, and they explain to customers what they need to. Very thorough, explain, understand expenses and they want to make sure it is fixed the first time so you won't have to come back.
Now I went to another shop that was recommended to me by a family member after having blown my engine. After going to the other shop, I was still having trouble with my car and hearing noises and rough idle. After a while, parts began to fail and I was having overheating issues. After doing research I came to my own conclusion that it was a head gasket, but didn't want to go the ripoff shop.
I found Carracino's on RepairPal and went to them after seeing they honored a warranty, and after reading excellent reviews. I called them on a Saturday, and they told me to bring my car in Tuesday as the shop was busy.
I brought my car in as soon as they opened Tuesday morning, and was nicely greeted. The guy (forget his name) wrote down what I thought was wrong with my car and after a good conversation, assured me my car was in good hands. Before I left, he told me that they'll give me a call at around 12pm to tell me what the problem was. At 12:10pm the same day, they called me and told me that it wasn't the head gasket, but a whole bunch of minor problems. They told me that the engine I got in my car was just dropped into it and the spark plugs were mismatched and rusty (meaning the original mechanic didn't do his job), which would explain the rough idle. The noises I was hearing was due to random loose nuts and bolts left by the previous mechanic. Also my car was overheating because there was no coolant in the system (my fault) and it was time for me to get an oil change. Now they only called me to let me know what the problem was, and with my OK, they proceeded with the work, which I noticed the other mechanic would do.
I got the car back from them and it was running smoother than the day I bought it, but I kept hearing a whining noise; it didn't grab my attention (this was a week before Christmas). After about 4 days, the whining and screeching became horrendous, after inspecting the problem and going online, I assumed that it was the alternator or its belt. I brought it to them one night after work on the 23rd right before they closed (met the mother of the business, amazing lady). They tried lubricating the belt, which failed, and told me to come back that Friday the 26th.
On the 26th at around 10am, I went without calling, and they told me that the shop was having a delay and to return around 12, which I did. They took my car in, and I stayed in the waiting room, where they do offer coffee, a TV with a remote, outlets, and customer WI-Fi, helping you enjoy your stay. They told me my car was ready after like 2 hours and it was because the alternator belt was slipping. They gave me my car back free of charge, saying that when they did the work on my car the first time, this shouldn't have happened.
Recently, on February 16, I brought my car in because of overheating as soon as they opened. They called me at around 10 to let me know that my radiator had cracked, and would need a new one. Because I trust their work, I told them to do it after they gave me an estimate. By the end of the day, they updated me that my car was ready but they want to test drive it twice to make sure the problem was fixed.
My car is running amazing, but now I think it's time for me to sell it, which they offered to help with.
6/5 Stars definately a happy customer.
