We love finding shops that are open on Saturday, but being open on Sunday is almost unheard of. And not only is this shop open seven days a week, they are open until 9pm every day. It doesn't get more convenient than that! At Cardinal Plaza, we found a very dedicated group of technicians who have been together for a long time and have a combined 91 years of experience between them. Three of their five techs are ASE certified and all attend regular training. Cardinal also offers shuttle rides, loaner cars, and the fact that they are a Shell gas station adds a level of convenience you don't see at many shops, earning Cardinal a high score in the Customer Conveniences section of our survey.

Tried to get an appointment a couple days ahead of time and was told to bring the car over on Sunday. Brought in Sunday and at first we were told that they didn't have time to work on it. The issue was a the check engine light was on and they said "the air box" was loose, but the light might come on again...Sure enough about 30 miles later, the light came back on...they didn't charge us but ended up wasting our Sunday and gas over there...what they probably did is just disconnect the battery which reboots the computer, turning off all code lights until the car is driven for a short period of time when the computer resets and the problem code lights come back on if the problem isn't fixed....I would be cautious using them...maybe they are too busy for any new business....They getan additional star because at least they were open on Sunday...

I wanted to get more information on what was wrong with the tire. The second thing was, when I went to get the car, The seat was pushed up right against the wheel and it was a hot day. I hadn't really touched my seat in years and there it was way out of place. I had to push it back. I think they should have tried to keep it in the original location. I know there was nobody that short that it would have been all the way up front like it was.

It is the only shop we have ever found. We've been in this area since the mid 80s. We are never pressured to buy something we don't need. We are given completely objective feedback if there is an issue as to how much it generally impacts the vehicle and if we have to wait before we have to do something. They are completely fair. We do not ever feel like we are being taken. The car went to go get tires at another location and they gave us a list of things that needed to be done. We did nothing there. We brought the vehicle back to Shell and found out that of the 5 items on the list, 3 of them were genuine. 1 was a warranty item which Shell informed us which the other place didn't. The other 2 items were things that didn't need to be done yet. They would have to be done in the future but not at the time that we were told by the first shop. It's the only place we'll go. We had to bring the car to the dealer for the warranty item and it was very uncomfortable throughout the entire process. We even had to argue to get them to do the warranty items and we never have any problems like that at the Shell.
