2002 Volvo V70 Question: carbon cannister

Hi, My check engine light is on and I understand that the hose has split hose going to the carbon/charcoal cannister. Looking for an approximate cost for parts and labour. Do I need to drop the fuel tank if I want to do this myself?

You should verify where the leak is occurring, and this is best done with a machine that fills the tank and lines with a non-toxic smoke, then look for where the smoke is coming out. You may indeed need to remove the tank but I wouldn't do it until I absolutely had to.
