ONE DAY THE CAR JUST WOULD NOT START WE THOIUGHT IT MIGHT ME THE FUEL PUMP WE HAD IT CHANGE. TRIED TO START THE CAR IT WOULD NOT START. WHEN YOU PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AND TURN TO START YOU HAVE TO OPEN THE HOOD AND UNHOOK THE BATTERY THEN TURN THE KEY AND THE CAR STARTS BUT WHEN YOU TURN IT OFF YOU HAVE TO DO THE SAME THING AGAIN IT IS LIKE YOU HAVE TO RESET EVERYTHING TO START IT AGAIN BUT THE RPMS WILL NOT WORK AT ALL. CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK IT MIGHT ME? i WOULD APRECIATE IT. THANK YOU.

I recommend you find a GM specialist who's good at electrical problems, or find and auto electric shop for diagnosis. I don't have enough information from your question to give you any good advice, especially since I can't inspect the car myself. I'm suspecting a theft-deterrent problem or possibly a computer problem.
