Car won't start, battery has juice but nothing when I turn the key on 2001 Chevrolet Malibu

I think it is the ignition..had part of it fixed a couple of years ago and was told the other will likely go as well. Anti theft is connected to the ignition... Phoned and was told it would be $400.00+ to repair. Is there anyway to have this done cheaper...I'm on foot until I can get this fixed.

Proper testing needs to be done, you don't want to start out with just an idea of what may be wrong because that could result in parts being replaced that are not causing the problem. If you have a voltmeter, (or a test light) can you measure for power to both sides of all of the fuses? (Headlamp fuses excluded unless you turnm the headlights on) Can you have someone check for codes? If this is a security issue the theft light should be on or blinking and that would result in a code setting. Even though you see power you could try jumping this, (connect the negative lead right to the engine) and see if that helps.
