Hi I have a 1995 Toyota corolla. So I had a leak in my gas tank somewere so I took the tank off to put on a working one but the used car place sold us one that looked identical but it wasnt as deep as the original so we ended up putting the old one back on during the process I know for sure that we forgot to plug back in the electric cord with plug back onto the top of the fuel tank which leads somewere under the back floor board. Anyways right after we finished I tried starting the car wouldn't start it'll turn over but no start. Do you think that's the problem? Please let me know any advice you can. Also if you know the name of that plug at the top of the gas tank thanks.

if you had the tank out turn key on to see if you can hear fuel pump running if not make sure your connections are hooked up at the sending unit check your fuel pressure if pump is running

Remove lower part of the back seat should be able to access the PUMP CONNECTOR easily! Access panel gives lots of room. Can change out the pump module in this car in 30 min. TOPS!

Okay before I read replies I actually finished the tank putting a new one on cause I found out that the orig had a leak. This is the new or bpem were the floater goes inside the tank that whole device well it made the gas gauge stop working there was a yellow wire snapped but I put back together but that just made the low fuel light common when its low but still no gage . ex haven't filled it to even half way so far

Is your car working? I still don't know what you are saying! If the gauge aint working, read what i posted before, it can be fixed from under the rear seat. Simply pull up on the seat, the part your butt sits on, take this part of the seat out of the car look on the side right behind the driver there is a metal plate with screws in it remove the screws then the plate and ALL of the wires you need to get to are staring you in the face!! That is all i can do for you. Good luck.
