Question: car won't start

 Rookie

I went to the store and made 3 stops. I drove home and was going into the garage..the car drove find..no problems...than the car acted like it would not stop. I put the brakes on and turned the car off. Than I wanted to pull it in a little further, and treid to turn it on. It won't start.why, please why???

    I just had my 2000 SL500 fixed due to intermittent starting .Had it towed 3 times.Was ready to push it off a cliff and was afraid to go anywhere. Finally they decided it was the" crank position" relay or sensor .Sorry I can't remember the proper name for the part. I do know that "crank postion" was a key part of the term.
