car won't start on 1999 Buick Regal

After driving for 2-1/2 hours, stopped for lunch and car would not start. After waiting about 1-3/4 hours tried car again and it started. Repeated problem on way home from the trip. Battery is new. Replaced gas filter and have not had problem - but have not driven car for 2-1/2 hours since repair. What else could be the problem??? Henry

You need to have the fuel pressure & volume tested. I think you'll find a bad fuel pump.

We replaced the fuel filter, but have not driven for extended time since. Henry
