alternator belt broke on car had replaced still won't start what's wrong now? it cranks but won't catch

Your timing belt could be in question. Can you verify if the timing belt is intact?

yes is timing belt and alterator belt the same or different

Definitely different. The timing belt is behind the front engine cover.

what is compression i have over half tank of gas i don't smell fuel timing belt intact fuse checked getting sparks from plugs how can i check for fuel coming to engine could it be bad fuel pump,bad fuel filter, or fuel line clogged is there an easier way to replace fuel pump without taking tank off

It started off acting like it was going to die . Now it won't start at all. We have spark, and seems to have fuel- not sure of how much pressure though. It acts like it wants to start, just won't.
