Question
Had car in shop for almost 5.5 months, with one machanic, now my car over heated and wont start. We changed the fuel filter but still wont start and has a full tank of gas. Tried to jump it but still no avail. What could be wrong? Could it be the timing slipped?
Answer #1
First and fore most, find another shop ASAP. 5.5 months is absurd, unless they were building a 900 horsepower custom version of you car, and even then Chip Foose could do it in about 90 days, and he is one of the very best.
As for why your car won't run, you may have over heated it to the point that the engine needs repair. Do a compression test, make sure the engine is still ok.
