Question: car wont shut off

Question

remarcable, Newport Beach, CA, March 16, 2010, 15:04

car starts normally. does not shut off when you turn the key off. removing coil wire shuts engine off but have to disconnect battery to shut off instrument panel. Is actually a 1989

    Probably needs a new ignition switch

    I have a 1993 xj6 the exact same thing happens with mine. Locksmith believes its in the steering column,so Im unsure of the fix also
