Question: car won't restart after shutting off

drove car home 19 miles after buying it. When arriving at home, shut car off and tried to restart. It cranks but won't restart. Are there specific buttons, etc., that have to be pushed or what is the start procedure for this bmw? No diagnostic codes are showing and all power still intact.

    if diagnosing this were as simple as pushing the "restart" button, there would be no market for BMW
    technicians. go to basics: fuel, fire and compression.
    then, after you've spent 6 or 7 hours trying to diagnose
    this, just have the car towed to a local BMW specialist.
