Question: Car wont restart after a while also runs poorly

I have a 1992 Camaro Z28 V8 5.0L engine port fuel injected that wont start. The motor spins when you turn the key, but all you smell,and see is raw gas vapors coming out of the exaust. I changed the sprak plugs, distributor,rotor,and fuel filter.Though when it does start the motor dies imediatly unless you pump the gas. Could it be the ignition coil?

    Too much fuel or no spark are the first two things you should check for on your 1992 Chevrolet Camaro. First - do you have spark at the spark plugs? If yes move onto the fuel side - if no work your way back to the coil and see if you have spark there. If not you could have a faulty coil, no battery power to the coil, or no signal from the distributor. If you decide you should check fuel pressure you will need a fuel pressure gauge. As you have already found out, just replacing parts without properly diagnosing the problem does not get you very far.     I agree that guessing is not effective. Every time I put a new part it seems to run great. Then it sits for a couple hours then it has trouble starting. I put in a new coil and it worked fine untill it sat for a awhile. I believe the problem is with the fuel, but what part of the fuel system would it be?
