CAR WON'T MOVE on 1996 Ford Taurus

You can shift into any gear and the car will not move. in drive if you depress the acelerator pedal the speedometer will show you are moveing. but you get nowhere fast. could this be in the electronics

You need to tow it for a transmission repair shop and ask for a diagnostic and estimate. Did you noticed transmission fluid leak before? How's the level? That's pretty much what you can check on it, but don't rev it - actually better if you don't runt it for more than a fluid level check, you might create more problems. Zee

It is probably unlikely but I actually have had my flywheel become disconnected from the torque converter because the bolts became loose. So my engine would run fine but I couldnt go anywhere because my engine wasn't connected to my tranny.
