2003 Ford Windstar Question: car won't move

while driving the van braked at a light when i went to press on the gas as the light changed the car would not move -

I'm assuming the engine revved up, but there was no engagement from the transmission? Did you try to shift from Drive to any other gear - and did it do anything different? You could have something as simple as a transmission range (TR) sensor issue, or as complicated as an internal transmission failure.
