1991 Mazda Protege Q&A
1991 Mazda Protege Question: car wont crank
I suspect that the starter is failing. check that you have battery voltage at the big starter cable, and battery voltage at the smaller START wire at the starter when your assistant turns the key to START. If so, and the starter doesn't run, then it's faulty. - Superbob
I HAD THIS SAME ISSUE AND EVERYONE SAID IT WAS MY STARTER BUT I GOT AN SECOND OPPION AND I EXPLAINED THAT IT WOULNDT CRANK AND ALL THE LIGHTS WOULD COME ON BUT THERE WAS NO CLICKING SOUND. PLUS IT DIDNT DO IT EVERYDAY AND THEY FOUND THAT MY IGNITION SWITCH WAS WORN OUT ONCE REPLACED I HAD NO MORE ISSUES. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. - christinec23

my car did crank at one point but it wont stay crunk it just cuts off
An electrically shorted air flow sensor can cause a crank-no start condition. Diagnosis may show that ignition spark is normal, and there are no trouble codes stored.
