Ok well I bought this car from this guy about six months ago and we test drove it and it ran fine so while I was leaving I got eight miles out of the town and the car just staled on me so we brang it to a machanic and they spent sixteen hours tryin to figure out the problem and they cheaked the timming belt everything and I got charged eight hundred dollars and the car wasent even running yet and they finaly said they found the problem and it was a brack in the cylinder head or block ??. But would the crack in there cause the car just to shut down like that ? But the maxhanics said the guy put jb weld just to hold it for now but I stil don't understand why it just cut out like that is that possible plz help

A cracked cylinder head could cause a loss of compression which would cause the engine to stall out. Sounds like a really terrible problem. You should fight it out with the seller--he sold you a bad car.

they machanics said the compression was good but they just said it wouldent run cuz of the crack in the head? but they said the timeing was off one tooth.....but what i dont understand is how me and the guy test drove it and it ran perfect but all of a sudden when we get on the interstate and drive 8 miles it just starts to bog and then it dies and wont start back up? it sputters like it really wanted to but just didnt....the machanic said something about the arms fireing for a second then would just stop? what dose that mean? im not really a car guy so i just want to figure out all i can thanks to anyone.
