2003 Kia Spectra Question: Car will crank but not start? What's the problem?

Helpthiskiaiskilling me, 1.8L 4 Cylinder, Potwin, KS, January 21, 2014, 13:55
 Rookie

Got a diagnostic code of P0036 and changed the corresponding sensor
Also changed the fuel pump and filter. It will crank no problem but won't start

    Have you chcked for ignition fire? (spark)

    Remove one of the coils and stick a spark plug in it, touch the threaded part to a metal ground and have a helper crank the engine, look for spark!

    Have you heard the fuel pump come on? If not you should have a someone sit in the car and turn it to on but don't start the car. It should be sound like a slight whine for about 2-5 sec. If you hear no sound i would change out fuse.
