car vibrates when i put on brakes on 1998 Chrysler Sebring

I had new brakes installed in November of 2008. For the past month, sometimes when I am stop, my car feels like is vibrates in the front and my steering wheel shakes a bit. What could this be?

This is often from the front rotors being warped, but can also be from worn front suspension parts. Both are potentially dangerous, so have it checked out. I would take it back to the shop that performed the brake job in November and see what they say.

I had the same problem with my 98 sebring. Took it to a shop. and found out it was the ABS system. (electrical). Had it fixed, and the vibrations (which were really bad at times) stopped.

You need new front disk brake rotors. Pads should still be fine.
