Question: car turns on it just wont reverse or drive whats wrong?

When i was driving on the highway i noticed my car stopped accelerating and i thought it was the gas because i was on empty but when i put gas the car didn't want to reverse or drive

    Frustrating! Sorry you are experiencing this. If the car does not engage reverse or drive, you could have a faulty Transmission Range (TR) sensor, low fluid in the transmission, or an internal transmission problem.

    Start by checking your fluid - if it's low, add some. Check it with the engine at operating temperature.

    It may be the torque converter. Mine went out a few months ago and cost roughly 800 dollars to fix.
