Question: car starts but you have to pump the pedal to keep it running, cold or hot

it has [ TBI ] and happens every time. 3.1 V6

  Sounds like a bad IAC (Idle Air Control) motor. It is on the side of the TBI housing.

  09/15/10 . installed new IAC. Still have same problem.

  I have had same problem with my 90 apv cargo van. Intermittent, dont happen every time, especially when I take it to dealer for service.
