get diagnostic run. get fuel pressure test(1 when full, 1 when 1/4 tank). review when last tuned. rec. fuel system clean. ethanol treatment with 1 tank premium. diagnostic run will i.d. issue. suspect fuel pump.

I have a 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera and it does the exact same thing. The car reaches 3/8 to 1/4 tank of gas and only stalls when coming to a stop. The owners manual reads when it stalls to put it in neutral and restart the engine. The car manufacturer new this was a problem and simply gave a solution although, must be careful when shifting to neutral.I always keep the gas gauge above that 3/8's mark.
