2007 Ford Taurus Question: Car stalls out when turning or coming to a stop!

 Rookie

The car seems to stall as I am turning or start slowing down, just had oil changed and such, would it need a tuneup? the car has app 84,000 miles on it, and I have had since last Jan.

    I read about a similar problem here a while back and the responder suggested that it might be a faulty switch associated with the power steering pump,that increases the engine speed when the pump is under strain from use.
