My car sometimes stall when idling.At times on first start up you have to slightly hold the gas pedal down, Also it surgel slightly

  This is an indication of a serious malfunction of the fuel management system. Is your check engine light on? If so, there is a fault code stored in the engine control module, and the diagnostic info should be retrieved and the appropriate diagnostic information used to determine the problem.
