what makes the car shut down while driving--car did not overheat-checked the fuel valve there appears to be fuel pressure--but the trac off light followed by the check engine light came on while driving and a couple miles down the road it shut off and wouldn't restart (i was trying to get it home so i could troubleshoot and fix the problem--i was only a mile away from being home when it stopped and was only three-four miles away to begin with)
we thought we finally had issues solved with this car when we figured out the passlock problem
been stranded over 6 times in the last 2 years with this car--mech are giving temp solutions

diagnosed as fuel pump--had fuel pump and filter replaced-car running fine
i have had the issues with passlock codes and others-we have replaced numerous sensors and modules before channging the ignition switch and having it reset
with all these computer $%^&*#$% codes sometimes i wonder about diagnosis
maybe it was the fuel pump causing the problems all along??
and maybe it is just a lemon of car that has all kinds of issues--
it would be so much nicer if they would have an idiot light that says this sensor is bad or worn out and needs to replace it before something else happens or the car stops running--there isn't --there is no warning -- and the machines to read the codes are exepensive so you have to take it to the dealer for $90 diagnosis and then the repair parts and labor are rediculously expensive
my service light came on but i should have been able to get it home (4 miles) before it stopped running --there should have been more warning and/or at least tell me what the problem is instead of just a light that says service engine soon--then maybe i wouldn't be stranded in the middle of the road during high traffic time unable to move and blocking traffic flow easy to cause an accident
