The last 4 times I've drivin the pickup I'll be driving along in town and then like clockwork the engine shuts down. It's not like stauling where I can start up again and keep going, it's dead. Then I can come back the next day and start it up and drive for another ten to fifteen minutes then dead again. I replaced the battery, new oil change. The mechanic said he wants to do a $500 dollar tune up which probably wouldn't hurt but I'm not convinced that is the problem. Any advice would be great. Oh yeah the truck has 400,000 miles on it.
