2001 Audi A6 Quattro Question: car shaking

Yes, it could be, but more likely if you haven't replaced them in a long time or they are aftermarket plugs. you can have a bad coil, a vacuum leak, bad injector or mechanical problem with the engine. you should get it diagnosed before replacing anything. is the check engine light on?

so the shop should be able to determine the cause pretty easily. it should be one of the things I mentioned. it's a good idea to have them check the compression in the cylinder to make sure there isn't any mechanical issues going on. good luck and I'm curious to know what the problem is.

Thanks, you pretty much said the samething they said. I bought the car from a family member for 6.500 dls with 118,000 miles, about 2 months ago she bought from this guy wich he was the first owner, she drove it for about 14,000 miles so what im trying to determine if the first owner changed the timing belt , tensioner, pulley and water pump before he sold it to my cousin, she says she don't know, my cousin, great car just scared of the maintence.
