 Rookie

Car shakes when it accelerates over 40 mph and has a burning smell. what could this be?

    I would have guessed tire balance till you said burning smell. Where does it shake? Seat of pants or steering wheel? I would guess if you have manual trans may have clutch probs to be inspected by qualified shop.

    cv joint coming apart? seized brake caliper? one thing for sure, if you keep driving it, the problem will get worse!

    Lean toward the seized brake caliper at this point. Have it checked.
