I just had my crankcase ventilation system replaced (e.g., hoses, valves, etc) on my 2004 325Ci (BMW) as it was getting a "lean" code. However, my car still shakes periodically when I drive it at either lower or higher speeds. What could this be about?

Does the Check Engine Light still come on? if there are still lean codes, then the real reason for the lean condition was not addressed. Look at this paper I wrote about lean codes, I do Emissions work in CA and I deal with this a lot. An under reporting Mass Air Flow Sensor is very, very common on most German cars, especially BMW and MB.

Thank you for the response! The Check Engine Light is no longer on. From your report and others, I'm wondering if it's a misfire issue. Thanks again for your help.
